How to Install evince software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

evince software package provides Document (PostScript, PDF) viewer, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install evince

evince is installed in your system.

Make ensure the evince package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep evince *

You will get with evince package name, version, architecture and description in a table
